Chicago Lions Rugby Congratulations!

Fearons Pub in Chicago would like to extend our hearty congratulations to our friends the Chicago Lions on another successful spring season, in which they finished having made the Semi-Finals of the USA Rugby Super League!

Our congratulations also to Chad Slaby and Jon Vitale on their election to represent the USA, as well as Marty Wiggina for his appointment to the coaching staff.

Not many pubs can lay claim to having THREE international athletes as regulars!  If you see them about, feel free to buy them a drink and congratulate them on their accomplishments.

Super 14 Final pulled from Setanta Schedule

Fearon’s Pub in Chicago was recently informed that Setanta Sports has pulled the Super 14 Final between Warathas and Crusaders from their schedule.  As a result, we are not able to show this match this Saturday.

We apologize for this late information, though we have no control over Setanta changing their schedule.

We are still currently showing the Guinness Premiership earlier this Saturday, which should prove to be an exciting match between Wasps and Leicester Tigers.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience.  Rest assured, we would have loved to show this match.  Now we can’t watch it here either…

Performing under the muse the Apartments, an up and coming Chicago based rock quartet with an infectious moody rock style born in communities of coming of age of Neo-Folk Artists, that fit loosely in the alt-country/folk rock/soul genres. Steady grooves meet breezy melodies and lyrics dripping with angst. The use of Storytelling and characters honor American roots rock, the best of the old meets a new generation of songwriters.Recently releasing their 10 song debut “Tales from the Windy City” which tells a story of youth, loss and love while creating a sense an organic sense of Midwestern identity, and also playing several inaugural shows at seminal Chicago venues like the elbo room, wise fools pub, the world folk music company, and the uncommon ground to name a view. The Album was released in limited amounts, but many of the songs became staples for the group and attracted attention to the group.

They currently reside in Chicago where pre-production is beginning on there Sophomore effort entitled “the Hardest Part” which will be a much more mainstream effort, and is slated to be released this spring.
